Cleo Nell Mitchell

Cleo Nell Mitchell, 83 of Amarillo, died 11-11-16.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Nov 15, at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church at 10AM, Officiated by Rev Mitchell and Dr. Alan Burkhalter. Graveside service will be at Logan Cemetery, NM at 2PM Mountain time. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday 11-14-16 from 6 to 7 p.m. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas.
On 11-11-2016, Cleo Nell Bacon Mitchell, aged 83, surrounded by family, stepped into eternity to meet her Savior, and God the Father. She was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's) disease in 2015. She passed quietly at home, without pain. Cleo had worked as a LPN for years in San Diego, the school system in Tucumcari, and for Saint Anthony’s Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her Parents J.I. Bacon and wife Opal of Portales and her sister Bonnie Brown of Carlsbad.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Rev Marshal "Cotton" Mitchell, and their children Steven, his wife Teresa, and son Jacob of Amarillo, daughter Ranell Mitchell and her son Cody Smith, wife Kensie, their children, Kalei, Emeri, Averi, and Nevin of Canon City, a daughter Kristen Smith and her son Ryan of Amarillo, and son Karl of San Diego. Cleo is also survived by her sister Bobbie and her husband Bob Cannady of Albuquerque.
The family is most grateful for the tender mercies of God in the manner of her passing
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Chaparral Baptist Church.
