Clifford “Cliff” A. Mason, age 85 of Amarillo died June 19, 2015 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 23 at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel with Dr. Randy Davis of Lifeway Fellowship officiating. Military honors will be presented by The US Air Force. A private interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Cliff was born in Rushville, PA to William and Jennie Stanton Mason on March 28, 1930. Upon completing high school he served in the US Air Force. It was while he was stationed in Altus that he met and married his love of the past 58 years, Virginia Mae Dickey. The two were married in Vernon on May 3, 1957.
Cliff served in both Korea and Vietnam. After 28 years he retired from the Air Force where he had served as an aviation mechanic.
Cliff was a member of Lifeway Fellowship and devoted to serving the Lord and others. With help from others, he established the Truck Stop Ministry here in Amarillo.
When not serving others, Cliff sure enjoyed a good game of golf and fishing with his brother-in-law in Southeastern, OK. He also liked dominoes, card games and wahoo.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; his sister Joyce Melan and husband, David of Pennsylvania; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
