A GOOD LIFE. Clyde Marion Williams was born in Memphis, TN on February 27, 1938 and passed on January 21, 2017 in Amarillo. He served in the United States Army from 1957 until 1968. After an honorable discharge, he completed medical school and residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio.
Dr. Clyde M. Williams MD had a solo practice in Gynecology and Obstetrics in Amarillo from 1978 to 2007. After closing his practice, he went to work as a physician at Concentra Medical Center, until 2016.
He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Karon Rose Williams and his children, known as “The Mob,” Christine, Sarah, Valerie, Clyde Douglas and Jonathan. He will meet his daughter, Constance in heaven. He is also survived by three sisters, four brothers and his four grandchildren whom he enjoyed.
Visitation will be today, January 22nd, from 2PM until 8PM at the family’s home.
Dr. Clyde's celebration of life mass will be offered at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 23rd. Rev. John Valdez will be the celebrant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St. Amarillo, Texas.
The burial will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lindsay, TX, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 24th where we will send him off to see “The Boss.”
