Conetha Thames, 84, died on Saturday, February 6, 2016, in Amarillo.
Funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 in Schooler Funeral Home’s Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas with Rev. Robert Brown, pastor of Middle Point Community Fellowship officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Conetha was born on December, 21, 1931 to Recil and Laura Fennell in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma. She graduated from Springlake High School, in Springlake, Texas. On June 16, 1951, she married George Ed Thames in Earth, Texas. She was also a lifelong member of Amarillo North Lions Club as well as long time active member of Xi Alpha Sigma. She was a strong supporter of the Amarillo Little Theater. Her friends were her family. Conetha was a member of Middle Point Community Fellowship.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother, Dolan Fennell.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
