Daniel Stroud, 23, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Dallas. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Daniel Alexander Stroud was born June 6, 1992 in Amarillo, Texas to Diamond “Bunny” and Greg Stroud. He was an exceptional young man, always striving to excel in whatever endeavor he attempted, be it art, music, academics, or games. He was a 3rd year medical student at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
He graduated with honors from Texas Tech University summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Tech. He was accepted into the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where again, he distinguished himself as an excellent student.
Daniel was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Virginia and Will D. McLean and Ernest and Nell Stroud, as well as George and Fay Botsonis and Diamond Georgantones Angelos.
He is survived by his parents Bunny and Greg Stroud, his sister and best friend Alexis Stroud of College Station, his grandparents Richard and Carol Stroud and Peter and Helene Botsonis, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Daniel will be cremated, and a private celebration of his life was held on Saturday, July 4.
