Darlene Elizabeth Downs, 59, of Amarillo died on Monday, January 29, 2018.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Darlene was born on October 14, 1958, in Amarillo, TX, to Floyd and Emma Callaway. She attended Amarillo schools and continued her education at Amarillo College and Texas Tech University. She married Rick G. Downs on October 27, 1979. The couple resided in Dumas, Borger, Corpus Christi, and Childress,TX.
Darlene and Rick had one son, Scott. Darlene went to be with our Lord on January 29, 2018. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Callaway, and her husband, Rick Downs, and her nephew, Chris Bailey. Survivors include her son, Scott Downs, of Borger; her mother, Emma Callaway, of Amarillo; her sister, Debbie Bailey, of Amarillo; and her nephew, Jeff Bailey, of Giddings, TX.
