David J. Kempf, 69, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
Rosary will be said at 6 PM Friday, April 29, 2016 in Schooler Funeral Home’s Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM April 30, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, 1200 S. Washington, Amarillo, TX 79102 with Rev. Scott Raef, celebrant. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Mr. Kempf was born in Amarillo on April 3, 1947. He graduated high school from Price Memorial College in 1965. He was a retired computer technician, working for Amarillo Hardware and Bell Helicopter before retiring from Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital in 2011. He loved to golf and bowl. David will be remembered as a great brother, loving uncle and wonderful neighbor. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katie Kempf of Amarillo.
Mr. Kempf is survived by one sister, Theresa Baruzzi of New Orleans, LA; two brothers, Gerald Kempf and wife Mary, and Thomas Kempf and wife Connie, all of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, 1200 S. Washington, Amarillo, TX 79102.
