David Lee Trimble died Sunday, February 12, 2012.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, in Shamrock Cemetery, Shamrock, Texas with Rev. Mike Martin of First Baptist Church in Shamrock officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
David was born January 29, 1929, in Shamrock, Texas, to Lee and Hazel Trimble. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Force and married his sweetheart, Jimmie Mayden, September 12, 1950, in Portales, New Mexico.
David was a truck driver for thirty years and his employers included Dr. Pepper, Hill Lines, and ICX. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, and was past President of the Teamsters Union.
He loved his family and especially his grand kids. He also loved to play pool and enjoyed country music and playing the steel guitar. His pets were special to him and he worked all his life on the Trimble family geneology and family pictures. David was the oldest living member of the Trimble family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie; parents; daughter, Francis Irene Burchfield; and a brother, James Trimble.
Survivors include two sons, David Allen Trimble and wife, Elaine, and Dallas Trimble of Amarillo; one daughter, Carmen Trimble Keesee and husband, Scott, also of Amarillo; two brothers, Edward Trimble of Pampa and Duane Trimble of Amarillo; a sister, Maudine Ferrell of Amarillo; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
