Dawn Elizabeth Allen

Dawn Elizabeth Allen, 68 of Amarillo passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Inurnment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110.

Dawn was born July 14, 1949 in Wisconsin to Dorothy Meehan. On July 31, 1985 she married Gail Allen, Jr. in Las Vegas. They celebrated 23 years together before his passing in 2008.  Dawn worked with her mother at Meehan’s Personality House until she became a registered nurse. She worked for BSA and NWTH in ICU for a combined 20 years. She was an incredible nurse with a caring spirit who loved her patients and profession. She retired in 2011. Dawn not only exceeded as a nurse but also a grandmother. Her eleven grandchildren were her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Allen, Jr.; and a sister, Diane Morgan.

Dawn is survived by her mother, Dorothy Meehan; daughter, Wendy Walker; two sons, Dean Savidge and Rob Savidge; eleven grandchildren, Jesica Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Nick Johnson, Lacey Thompson, Stormie Savidge, Willow Savidge, Jansen Savidge, Amber McCracken, Axl McCracken, Halle Gaines, Brittany Harris, and Calvin Allen; a sister, Dale Longbine; and many more loving family and friends.
