Debra Diane “Debbie” Seitz, 46, of Canyon died Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Miller of South Georgia Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Debbie was born on Jan. 31, 1966, in Canadian to Jack and Mary Johnson. She attended school in Singapore and New Guinea. She had a passion for animals, all creatures great and small. She could nurse and love the sickliest and most unlovable creatures back to perfect health. She was happiest when she worked as the vet tech for her fiance, Bill Cox, at his vet clinic. Their time was spent working hard, raising race horses and going to the track to watch their horses run.
Debbie could be described as energetic and spirited. Her stature was small but her presence was huge. She was generous to everyone and would do anything for her family and friends. She was the friend everyone wishes they had, but only a few were lucky enough to experience. Debbie was one of a kind and will be missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Morgan Knight Jr; her fiance, Bill Cox; and her stepfather, Morgan Lee Knight Sr.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Knight of Canyon; her father, Jack D. Johnson and wife Norma Jean of Ponder; a daughter, Porshae York and husband Keith of Amarillo; two sons, Chris Johnson Seitz of Amarillo and Brandon Johnson of Canyon; a sister, Tia Johnson of Stephenville; two brothers, Miles Johnson of Ponder and Johnny Knight of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a precious granddaughter, Mckinli Bufkin; and many other family members and friends that adored her.
