Delaine (Wigington) Hobart

Joan "Delaine" Hobart (nee Wigington) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.

Delaine was born October 11, 1955 in Borger, Texas to Oliver Ray and Betty Lou Floyd Wigington. Delaine, along with her dear sister Charmaine, was blessed to grow up in a loving and happy home with parents who loved the Lord and provided wonderful examples of His goodness to their girls.  After graduating from Phillips High School, Delaine attended Baptist Bible College where she met and married Jeff Hobart.  During their marriage they were blessed with three children, each of whom considers themselves the favorite.

Delaine loved her church family and helping with the nursery. She loved talking to people and sharing a laugh.  Her quick wit and fabulous sense of humor were second to none.  During her life she had many careers and titles but her favorite was being Gran to her grandchildren.

Delaine was preceded in death by her parents and baby sister Paula Jeanine Wigington.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family.  She is survived by her sister Charmaine Holmes and husband Ken of Amarillo, daughter Jeanine Henry and husband Brian of Amarillo, son Jeff Hobart of Amarillo, son Josh Hobart of Amarillo, grandchildren Audrey, Clayton, and Camille, and great-granddaughter Navy.

Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Arden Road Baptist Church, 6701 Arden Road, Amarillo, Texas 79109. Family suggests memorials be made to Arden Road Baptist Church Youth Department.
