Delbert Morris

Delbert Gerald Morris, 68 of Amarillo, Texas died Tuesday, September 28, 2010.A gathering for family and friends will be on Saturday, October 3rd 2010 at 2pm at the Brentwood Chapel of Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Delbert was born Feb. 27, 1942 in Wellington, TX to Delbert and Frances Keyes Morris. Delbert lived in Wellington until the age of 11 at which time he moved to Dumas and then to Amarillo.  Delbert loved life and lived it to the fullest. His favorite activities included riding his Harley and fishing with his brothers and his friends. Delbert was an avid sports fan and loved his Longhorns, Cowboys and Texas Rangers.Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, a son Nick Morris, five brothers and one sister. Survivors include his daughter Andrea Morris of Amarillo, a son Wayne Morris of Gainesville, TX.  Three brothers, Jim, Wayne and Danny Morris all of Amarillo, TX. Three sisters, Dell Penrod and Mary Peters of Amarillo, TX and Patsy Smith of Fritch, TX.  Two grandchildren Bambi Guerrero and Rocky Morris both of Gainesville, TX. And three great- grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
