D.R. “BUD” SCHRODER, age 89 of Amarillo, died March 10, 2012 in Amarillo.
Memorial Services will be held at the EXP Worship Center of Paramount Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 14th at 11:00 AM. Rev. Victor Miller and Rev. Craig Schroder will officiate. Private family interment was held at Memorial park Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mr. Schroder was born June 15, 1922 in St. John, KS to Claude E. and Clara Schroder. In enlisted in the US Coast Guard and served aboard the USS Charles Carroll until his honorable discharge in February 1946. He married the love of his life, Patricia A. Brown on May 29th 1947 in St. John, KS.
He was employed by the US Bureau of Mines for over thirty years, working in Otis, KS, Shiprock, NM, and Excell Helium until his retirement. Mr. Schroder was a member of Paramount Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Mr. Schroder is lovingly survived by his wife of sixty four years; two sons, Rod Schroder and wife Suzanne of Amarillo and Craig Schroder and wife Sabra of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren, Neil and his wife Courtney, Kyle, Seth, Kristin, David, Dan and his wife Lori, Josh and Matt Schroder; seven great grandchildren; his brother Don; and a sister Ruth Lee.
