Dennis Edward Longstreth

Dennis Edward Longstreth, age 62, of Amarillo, died Monday, October 8, 2012.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, in the North Student Ministries Auditorium of Trinity Fellowship Church with the Rev. John Love officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Dennis was born July 25, 1950 in Amarillo to William and Charlene Longstreth. He attended Tascosa High School and graduated in 1968. He worked for A. L. Davis while in high school. He then began his 25-year career at Colbert’s Clothing Co., beginning as a delivery boy and within one year, was promoted to management. After employment at Colbert’s, he worked for Marsh Electric as a sales rep.
Dennis had a “gift of gab” and made many, many friends during his lifetime. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Longstreth, in 1975.
Survivors include his daughter, Alicia Longstreth, his mother, Charlene Longstreth Dunn; a brother, David Longstreth and wife, Jeani; a sister, Cindy Woods and husband, Gary all of Amarillo; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be sent to American Heart Association, 2514 82nd, Suite B, Amarillo, TX 79423.
