Dicky was born March 5, 1935, in Guymon, Okla., to Dietrich A. Enns and Susie Ann East Enns. He married his beloved wife, LaVonne LeGrange, on April 25, 1959, in Liberal, Kan.
Dicky worked for Southwestern Public Service Co. for 37½ years, retiring on April 1, 1997. He leaves behind so many close and dear friends he worked with through the years.
He loved his family so much. He was a good husband, father and grandfather.
Dicky dedicated his life to his wife and soul mate, LaVonne; daughter, Alicia, his baby girl and angel; his son-in-law, Chad, whom he loved dearly, like a son; and his three grandsons, who brought him such joy and happiness. He taught them how to play poker, cards and Wahoo, and took them fishing.
He had the pleasure of watching them grow up to be fine young men, whom he loved dearly. He was truly blessed, and so was his family for having him with us.
Dicky found our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized and a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. He loved his Lord and knew he would be in a better place with Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Noran Enns.
Survivors include his wife, LaVonne; a precious daughter, Alicia Enns Pitts and husband Chad; three grandsons, Greg, Morgan and Logan Pitts; a brother, Robert Enns and wife Lural of Dalhart; three sisters, Donna Chapman and husband Charlie of Tulia, Betty Moore and husband Dale of Guymon and Patricia Spoonemore of Spearman; and a sister-in-law, Velma Enns of Guymon, Okla.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109; or BSA Hospice, in care of Olivia's Angels, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
