Don Schooler

Don Schooler, age 83 of Amarillo, died August 30th in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2nd at 10:00 AM in schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Brother Curtis Redmond of Beacon Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Don was born March 7, 1933 in Robert Lee, Texas to Thomas and Della Schooler. He graduated Robert Lee High School and attended San Angelo Junior College. In March of 1960 he married Betty Hill in Canyon; the couple was married 53 years at the time of her death in 2013.
Don worked in road construction for over 45 years before retiring from De Pauw. He had a love for the Dallas Cowboys and was lucky in Vegas!
He was a member of and served as a deacon at Eastridge Baptist Church.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty and by a brother Jamie Schooler.
He is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Simpson and her husband Doug of Edmond, OK and Lisa Beal and her husband Joel of Arlington, TX; his son, Rick Schooler and his wife Melissa of Amarillo; his brother, Van Schooler of Levelland; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
