Mr. Crawford was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to parents, Tommie A. Crawford and Twila May Sawyer Crawford. He graduated from Harrison High School in Colorado Springs in 1969. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1969-1973. He served aboard the USS Isabelle. He moved to Amarillo from Denver in 1988 to be closer to family and to care for his “Mom” and “Pops.” He worked in the plumbing industry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommie A. Crawford.
Mr. Crawford is survived by his parents, Chuck “Pops” Lawrence and Twila May Sawyer Lawrence of Amarillo; three brothers, Lloyd Crawford and wife Sandy of Amarillo; Garland Crawford and wife Ruth of Wheatridge, Colorado; and James Crawford and wife, Irene, of Aurora, Colorado; four half-sisters, Dianna, Dorothy, Karen, and Cathy; two half-brothers, Richard and Keith; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and family members.
