Donald Clyde Hugus

Donald C. Hugus, age 92, of Amarillo, died December 17, 2024, in Amarillo.

Donald was born to parents Arthur and Ethel Hugus in Fairmont, West Virginia on January 23, 1932. He attended and graduated from Fairmont High School.

He joined the Air Force, then attended the University of Texas and earned his BA in Engineering. Donald worked at Pantex for 37 years and retired. He loved to dance, golf, and garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell Hugus and Billy Joe Hugus; and one sister, Doris Hugus.

He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Gutierrez of Amarillo, TX; one son, R. Craig Hugus and wife, Johnna of Sherman, TX; one brother, Richard Hugus of Terre Huate, Indiana; four grandchildren, Brandy Radney, Thaddeus Gutierrez, Carla Thomas, and Ryan Hugus; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
