Donald L. Maxwell

Mr. Maxwell was born March 22, 1926 to J. W. and Annie Laura Maxwell in Pittsburgh, Oklahoma. Don was in the services by the time he was 19 years old and served on the front lines of Okinawa when he was wounded and received a purple heart. He was a retired car hauler and a member of local union 577.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and one sister, Betty Jo Williams of Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of the home; a stepson, Robert Glen White and wife, Leslie of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Alexandra Nicole White of Amarillo; a sister, Norma Jean Hancock of Half Way, Texas; a nephew, Danny Knox of Plainview, Texas, and several other nieces and nephews.
