Dorothy Marie Gulde

June 27, 1934 — November 28, 2009

Visitation and rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Friday, December 4 at Brentwood Chapel in Schooler Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 5 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Harold Waldow as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery.  Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

Dorothy Marie Gulde, age 75 of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 28, 2009.  Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her husband Jim, her 7 children: Theresa M. Newton, D.O. of Knox City, MO, Jim E. Gulde, MD, of Paris, TX, Lisa A. Stobb, MMus of Grande Prairie, TX, Chris G. Gulde, MD of San Antonio, TX, Anthony J. Gulde, DDS of Orlando, Curt J. Gulde, MBA, of College Station, TX, John F. Gulde, PharmD, of Amarillo, TX, and 28 grandchildren.  Other survivors include brother Tony Ernst of Grainger, IN, sister Joan Larson of Mishawaka, IN, sister Angela Bliha of Mishawaka, IN, sister Louise Collins of Grainger, IN, and sister Helen Maurer of Sandy, UT.  Dorothy was preceded by her father Joseph Ernst and mother Theresa Hums Ernst, brother Bob Ernst, and sister Mary Cortier.

Born in Mishawaka, IN on June 27, 1934, she enjoyed cooking and baking, being with family and friends and playing bridge with her husband.  For many years she was administrative assistant at University of Notre Dame, Catholic Family Services and Annunciation Catholic Church.  She was a long-time member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church where she was a sacristan and a daily communicant.  Her faith was central to her life, and with her husband at her side she died peacefully in her home. Always striving to make family celebrations, she was currently working on plans for her and Jim’s Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Visitation and Rosary were held Wednesday, December 2 from 6-7 pm with rosary at 7 pm at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Altamonte Springs, FL.  Requiem Mass followed Thursday, December 3 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Altamonte Springs, FL.  Arrangements were by Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 East Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL.
