Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 13th, at Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home. Rev. Corky Holland of First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Mrs. Keahey was born on July 27, 1919, in De Queen, Arkansas, to Sam and Mary Evans Mitchell. She was a resident of Panhandle, TX, and for the last thirty five years she lived in Amarillo, TX. Dorothy was a very creative and active person. She was very proud to be employed at Northwest Hospital as a LVN for twenty four years. She was a member of the Doll Club of America. Dorothy was an avid reader and she collected dolls, teddy bears, plates and other precious things. She also painted ceramics and hand stitched needle work. One of her favorite hobbies was growing African Violets. She was a blessing to all that knew her and she will be dearly missed by those who loved her so. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace Keahey; her son, Bob Keahey; two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Lou Nisbet and husband, Tommy of Amarillo, and Sheryl Blagg and husband, Fred of Amarillo; her brother, Gene Kaup and wife, Beverly of Wichita, Kansas; her seven grandchildren, J.D. Williams, Dr. Jeff Williams, Steve Nisbet, Shelley Harris, Terri Nizzi, Sheri Foster, and Gary Keahey; her twelve great grandchildren and her two great great grandchildren.
