Dorothy was born June 24, 1929, in New York City to Joseph and Mary Harney. On March 6, 1948 she married Bernard O’Gorman in Shamrock. Dorothy lived in Stinnett from 1949 until 1991 where she worked for Hutchinson County. After retirement, the family moved to Amarillo and in 2008 Dorothy moved to Lubbock.Dorothy enjoyed square dancing, crocheting, and she was an accomplished seamstress. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church of Amarillo. While in Lubbock Dorothy belonged to St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Evelyn O’Gorman and Helen Betola.Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Lambright and husband Larry of Lubbock, and Deborah Davenport and husband David of Canyon; a sister, Mary Truglio of Connecticut; two brothers, Edward Harney of Florida and Thomas Harney of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Marc Lambright, Kristi Satterfield, Matthew and Chelsea Davenport; six great-grandchildren, Derek and Maegan Lambright, Abagail and Emerson Satterfield and Emily and Dillon Davenport.
