Dorothy O’Neal, 90 of Amarillo died March 25, 2014.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2014 in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Jim Shelburne of Washington Avenue Christian Church officiating. Private Family Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Dorothy was born January 16, 1924 in Memphis, Texas to Arthur T. and Texas Scott. She graduated from Memphis High School. Dorothy married the love of her life Red O’Neal in 1946 in Englewood, CA. In 1957 they moved back to Amarillo from Los Angeles. Dorothy was a longtime employee of Montgomery Wards and retired in 1986. She loved the Lord and her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband William “Red” O’Neal, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
She is survived by her son, Mike O’Neal and wife Debby, two grandsons, Mark O’Neal and wife Carla, and Ryan O’Neal and wife Becky all of Amarillo, two great grandsons, Hunter O’Neal and Brody O’Neal, and three great-granddaughters, Ansley Avery, Addison “Addy” O’Neal, and MaKenna O’Neal.
Family suggests memorials be made to the March of Dimes, 104 Sw 6th Ave Ste 301, Amarillo, TX 79101
