Dorothy June Van Dervort

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 28, at the Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia with Pat Parker presiding of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.Dorothy was born in Harrisonville, Missouri.  She met Charles Vandervort in Rockport Missouri and they married October 2, 1940.  She lived several years in Channing, Texas before moving to Amarillo in 1959.  She was a homemaker all her life.  She loved to quilt and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Dorothy was a blessing to her family and all who knew her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, 2 Brothers, 1 Sister, Daughter, Sharon Bacon, Son, Charles S. Vandervort and her Granddaughter Wendy LeAnn Jordan.Survivors:Daughter, Karon Moody of Amarillo, 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
