Douglas Glenn McGalliard, age 48, of Amarillo died Sunday, November 13, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Schooler Funeral Homes Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Richard Higley, Associate Pastor of River Road Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
An additional service will be held in Denton, Texas at Trinity United Methodist Church at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 21 with Rev. John Peel officiating. Arrangements by Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, Inc., 2025 W. University Drive, Denton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at Schooler Funeral Home, from 6 to 7:00 p.m.
Douglas was born in Denton, Texas to Mack & Katherine McGalliard on May 31, 1963. He married Kris Collins on March 11, 2000 in Amarillo. He was employed by Western Equipment.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Christopher McGalliard; a brother Jack McGalliard and a sister-in-law, Linda McGalliard.
He is survived by his wife, Kris McGalliard; one daughter, Tiffany Higgins and her husband Joe of Pawnee, OK; two sons, Daniel McGalliard of Amarillo and Perry Slane and wife Heather of Guymon, OK; one sister, Katie Swift and husband Ed of Argyle, TX; four brothers, Curtis McGalliard and wife Mary Lou of Birch Tree, MO, Tommy McGalliard of Argyle, TX, Amos McGalliard and wife Gaylon of Dumas and Phillip McGalliard and wife Toni of Aurora, CO and many loving nieces and nephews.
