Doyle was born July 3, 1936, near Advance, Mo., to William Marvin and Wilma Ann Miller. He graduated from Advance High School in 1954 and joined the Air Force, proudly serving his country in Japan until 1958. He became a Church of Christ member while in the military; and upon discharge he moved to Amarillo to attend a Bible school at West Amarillo Church of Christ, where he met Charlotte Ford, and they married on July 29, 1960. He went to work in 1963 for Mitchell Electric, where he was employed in sales management for more than 35 years.
He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another great-granddaughter in September.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; a daughter, Tina Hardie and husband Raymond of Gaines County; a sister, Phyllis Miller Richbourg and husband Wayne of Chaffee, Mo.; a brother, Wayne Miller and wife Carol, whereabouts unknown; two grandsons, Joshua Hardie of Hobbs, N.M., and Isaiah Hardie and wife Amanda of Murietta, Calif.; two granddaughters, Autumn Hardie Weaver and husband Kris of Windsor, Mo., and Miriam Hardie of Gaines County; and two great-granddaughters, Amber Hardie and Shaley Hardie. Doyle also is survived by his beloved dog, Charlie, who has been a wonderful companion.
