CAB was born September 11, 1948 in Berkeley, CA to Thomas and June Bond. He met Dr. Cynthia L. Raehl and they married in Madison, WI on June 19, 1988. CAB had many interests including travel, golf, stained glass and football.
CAB received a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Bond completed an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists residency in Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California Hospitals and the San Francisco Veterans Administration Hospital.
Dr. Bond was a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Texas Tech University-HSC School of Pharmacy and The University Distinguished Professor. Previously he was at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine where he was Professor of Pharmacy and Psychiatry and served as Associate Dean for Professional Affairs.
He received many national awards for his achievements from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Texas Tech University and the Veterans Administration. Dr. Bond received the Distinguished Alumnus Award for 2007 from the University of California Pharmacy Alumni Association.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and June Bond.
CAB is survived by his wife, Dr. Cynthia L. Raehl of Amarillo; his sister, Marianne Bond of Walnut Creek, CA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Ellen Raehl of Appleton, WI and a very large extended family, along with very special friends.
The family would like to express their thanks to their many friends and the staff members of Baylor Hospital Liver Transplant Unit in Dallas, BSA Hospital and BSA Hospice.
