Drew Timothy Friemel

Drew Timothy Friemel, 21 of Amarillo passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

Vigil will be 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Scott Raef as celebrant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110.

Drew was born July 5, 1996 in Amarillo to Fred and Sheri Bassett Friemel. He was an Amarillo High graduate Class of 2014, and had attended Amarillo College. He worked in the restaurant industry as a chef, server and manager. He was a photo journalist for News Channel 10. Drew was a talented and gifted musician and could play many instruments but primarily the guitar. Drew had a heart for injustice and poured his spirit into trying to make our world a better place.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary “Mary T” Theresa Friemel and Richard D. Friemel.

Drew is survived by his mother, Sheri Friemel; father, Fred Friemel and wife Alecia; two brothers, Dillon and Garrett Friemel all of Amarillo; three stepsisters, Malari Casas and husband Kevin of Canyon, Hope Irlbeck and Katie Irlbeck of Amarillo; his beloved cat, Nimbus, and many more loving family and friends.

Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home.
