Myron Dudley McCauley, 78, formerly of Amarillo died February 6, 2020 in Ruidoso, NM.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Burial will be in Capital Memorial Park Cemetery in Austin. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Myron Dudley McCauley was born March 15, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan. Dudley received his MBA at The University of Texas at Austin. (Hook ‘em Horns). He served in the US Navy as a Corpsman in Vietnam.
He has lived the last 15 years of his precious life with his wife, Jean Brizendine Miller McCauley in Ruidoso, NM. In their wonderful 42 years of marriage, they have travelled to beautiful beaches in Texas, Mexico, and the Bahamas. But the trip of a lifetime was the three-week holiday to Australia. Hours of snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, driving most of the coast to Brisbane, then catching a flight to indulge themselves on unbelievable seafood, and spending Christmas in Sydney, Australia was sun and fun!
Dudley is survived by two wonderful children, Michael Sean McCauley of Lockhart and Teri Michelle McCauley of Dallas.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Stacie Marie Miller Healy of Panhandle Tx, grandson Evan de Bruin of Amarillo, precious twin granddaughters Shelby Lynn Healy and Tuesday Marie Healy of Panhandle Tx.
Dudley is also survived by three nephews Todd McCauley of McGregor, Tx, Chris McCauley and Corey McCauley both of Dallas. They are the sons of Michael Jeffrey McCauley and Stephanie McCauley Waugh.
Dudley bragged that his mother-in-law Billie S. Brizendine of Marble Falls, Tx, is 92 years old. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law Judy Brizendine Gray and Linda Amey of Austin.
Dudley was preceded in death by his father Dr M. D. McCauley and his mother Dorothy Stapleton McCauley of Austin, brother Michael Jeffrey McCauley and brother Timothy Edwin McCauley. The family is buried at Capital Parks, Pflugerville, Tx.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Lincoln County Medical Foundation, 211 Sudderth Dr., Ruidoso, NM 88345.
