Dwain Jack

Doki Jack, 71, died on Friday May 6, 2011 in Amarillo Texas. Doki was born in Wilburton, OK on January 12th 1940 to Andrew and Lucille Jack.  He moved to Amarillo in 1956 and graduated from Amarillo High in 1957.  In 1958 he joined the US Navy.  While stationed in the navy he moved to California where he became an ironworker until 1970.  He eventually moved to Tuolumne County where he loved living in the mountains, riding horses, hunting, fishing, camping and being with family and friends.  He worked for 25 years at Columbia College where he retired in 2000.  He was a member of the California School Employees Association for 9 years at one time holding the office of President. He was also a member of Christian Heights Assembly of God Church for 30 years.  His most recent accomplishment was the celebration of his 50th wedding anniversary with Carolyn Cochran Jack on April 9, 2011.Survivors include his wife Carolyn Jack, 2 daughters Doni Jack, and Tish Jack-Caddell, son-in-law Scott Caddell, grandchildren Alexandria and Remy Jack Caddell of Anchorage, Alaska; son, Michael Jack of Amarillo, Texas, grandchildren Derek and Bryana Jack of Sonora, California; brother Leo Jack of Amarillo Texas, and many other family members.  He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Lucille Jack, brothers, Doyle and Ricky Jack, sister Bobbi Thomas and great niece Tamra Kennedy.A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday May 10th at 4:00 at the San Jacinto Assembly of God Church with Pastor Billy Snider officiating.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
