Earl “Flash” W. Gordon
Graveside Service will be at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, January 24, at Llano Cemetery with Rev. Corky Holland of First Baptist Church officiating.
Earl was born on October 12, 1921 in Clayton, New Mexico to Hardy and Dila Gordon. He spent his school years in Espanola, New Mexico. He joined the Navy and proudly served for 4 years in the South Pacific. After Flash returned home he met and married Corine Hammock. For 30 years he worked and raised a family in Espanola, leaving as Master Mechanic from Los Alamos, NM. Together with his family he moved to Felt, OK where he owned his own shop. He retired to Cortez, CO, later moving to be with family in Amarillo, Tx. Flash was a happy, warm hearted, strong character of a man, much loved husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Elmer, Robert and Thomas; and two sisters, Bertha and Barbara.
Survivors include his wife Corine of the home; sons, David Earl Gordon of Missoula, MT, and Joseph Earnest Gordon of Levenworth, KS; daughters, Janette Corine Gordon-Palmer of Olympia, WA, and Susan DeAnn Mason of Amarillo; sisters Clara Archuleta of Espanola, NM, and Lydia Gordon of Dixon, NM; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
