Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13th, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 14th, at Coulter Road Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Robeson, Rev. Jeremie Dark and Pastor Lavon Thompson will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Born November 15, 1945, in Frederick, Oklahoma to E.B. and Bertha Montgomery.Ebb grew up in Snyder, Oklahoma, and married his high school sweetheart and soul mate Pamela on December 16, 1963. After graduating high school in May 1964, they started their life together in Trona, California where Ebb started his electrical career with Kerr McGee Corp.Ebb became a journeyman electrician and moved to Ridgecrest, California to work for the Naval Weapons Center. He became skilled in electronics and excelled in generator repairs.They moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1981. Ebb started an electrical business, “Amarillo Electric Specialist Inc“, which he owned and successfully operated until his passing on January 11, 2010.Ebb’s true journey in life began in September 1995 when he was diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer. During his fourteen year battle with the disease his family and friends were blessed to witness the numerous miracles that brought Ebb back from the edge of death through the intervention of the Lord after doctors had said their was no hope for a recovery.Ebb loved his Savior and laid his illness at the alter of God and this faith sustained him daily and gave hope to his family.Preceded in death by his parents E.B. and Bertha Montgomery, and brothers Jack, Billy, and Doye, and sisters Joy and Phyllis.Ebb is survived by his wife, Pamela of forty six years; his children, Dana Sandoval and husband, Steve, Shirley Gibbs and husband, Frank, and Ebb Martin III (Marty) Montgomery and wife, Blanca, all residing in Amarillo who work in the family business, also Ebb’s newly adopted son Jeremie Dark and wife, Maria and their daughter Ashley of Monterrey, Mexico. There are 11 grandchildren, Sgt. Mathew Scarbrough of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Trae Gibbs and wife, Kristie, of Amarillo, Beau Scarbrough of Amarillo, Shea Montgomery of Amarillo, Trevor Gibbs of Amarillo, Katie Montgomery of Pueblo, Colorado, Tina Gibbs of Amarillo, Destiny Montgomery of Amarillo, Alexis Montgomery of Amarillo, Billie Jean Becker and husband, Michael, of Muenster, TX, and Stephen Matthew Sandoval and wife, Kathyrn of Amarillo. There are 5 great grand children, Skylar Montgomery of Amarillo, Amelia, Anna Marie, Heidi and Rita Becker of Muenster, TX.Ebb is also survived by two brothers and a sister, Preston Montgomery and wife, Shirley, Jim Montgomery and wife, Ava, all of Amarillo, and Eldora Lewis and husband, Jimmy, of Ridgecrest, Ca., and many nieces and nephews.The family wishes to thank Dr. Thomas Johnson and nurse Chris, Dr. Carlisle and Angela, Dr. Mooring and the rest of the staff at Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic, Dr. Essler and staff at Texas Oncology, and the nurses at BSA Hospice.The Family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Ebb’s honor to the “Zebra House“ fund account number 8610002, at 200 W.
