Edward “Mike” Hoyne, 55 of Amarillo, died Thursday, December 13, 2012.
Memorial Services will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Hillside Christian Church Amarillo South Campus, 6901 South Bell with Pastor Craig Albracht officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mike was born August 30, 1957 in Amarillo to Edward Joseph and Betty Hoyne. He loved life and enjoyed playing golf and softball. Mike was a jokester. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and grandfather who fought a courageous battle with cancer. Mike will be dearly missed by those that knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Ed.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Madrid Gafford Hoyne, a daughter Stephanie Lynn Hoyne and husband Zech Tabor of Amarillo, a son, Joshua Beau Gafford and wife Erin of Lubbock, a brother, Rick Hoyne and wife Lorna of Bradenton, FL, his mother, Betty Hoyne of Amarillo, and his granddaughter, Ashtyn Jones of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials be made to Olivia’s Angels c/o BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79101
