Mr. Redmond was born November 5, 1934 in Myrtle Grove, Louisiana to Eddie and Elve Redmond. He attended school in Gray, Louisiana and went on to attend New Orleans Dillard University and South Mountain College in Phoenix. He met Rosezene Beasley, formerly of Clarendon, and they married April 4, 1985 in Mesa, Arizona. He was a member of the US Air Force. He worked as a shipping and receiving clerk.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Redmond, Jr., five sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife Rosezene Beasley Redmond of Amarillo; two daughters, Simone Redmond and Danielle Redmond, both of Dallas; one brother, Rousell Redmond of Gray, LA; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
