Edward Wallace Warren

Ed Warren passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the age of 88 years.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18 in Brentwood Chapel at Schooler Funeral Home with Rev. Regi Fowler officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Ed was born on October 16, 1923, to Pearce and Grace Warren in Meadow, Texas. He served in the Army Air Corp from March 1944 to November, 1945, when he was honorably discharged. He married LaVerne Peterson in 1946 in Hale Center, Texas. LaVerne preceded him in death on January 16, 2006. They had been married for 59 years.
Ed was a member and pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Hereford. He was retired from the Hereford School System.
Ed is survived by one son, Chris Warren and his wife, Barbara;two grandsons, Adam Warren and wife Amy and Mark Warren; two great-grandchildren, Ian Mark Warren and Caroline Elizabeth Warren; and two brothers, Steve Warren of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Wink Warren of Lubbock.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the employees of Craig Methodist Retirement Center for their loving care over the past 5 ½ years. They also would like to thank Hospice Care of the Southwest for watching over “Pop”, and allowing him to pass in comfort and with dignity.
