Albert Tanner, 66, of Wildorado died Friday, August 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 12 at Palo Duro Baptist Church in Wildorado with Dr. Ron Muller officiating. Burial will be in Palo Duro Cemetery in Wildorado. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Albert was born March 30, 1947 in Ysleta, Texas to Sherman and Velma Treywick Tanner. He married Karen Jennett Vancil in 1976 in Wildorado.
He farmed in Wildorado until he went to work at the US Post Office as a maintenance mechanic. He retired after 20 years of service. Albert loved the outdoors, loved fishing and rock hunting. Family was very important to him, and he enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; a sister, Emma Jean McGill of Canyon; and two brothers, James Tanner and Robert Haile both of Amarillo.
Viewing will be at 9:00 a.m., Monday, August 12 at Palo Duro Baptist Church.
