Efram Leonel Gonzalez, age 36 of Amarillo died October 9, 2014 in Amarillo.
A rosary will be said on Monday, October 13th at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 14th at 2:00 PM at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington. The celebrant will be Rev. John Valdez of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Service arrangements are entrusted to Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Efram was born August 13, 1978 in Amarillo to Ramiro and Elizabeth Gonzalez. He attended St. Mary’s Elementary, Bowie and Caprock High School. Efram was a creative soul. In addition to enjoying photography; Efram was a talented artist and writer. His wish was to give back to the community while participating at the Agape Center and was a proud member of the ACTS and NAMI communities. He was currently attending Amarillo College. Efram was happiest when surrounded by his family, and was a loving father to his son, Elijah.
Efram was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonel and Carmen Gonzalez and Porfirio and Lala Ortega.
He is survived by his parents, Ramiro and Elizabeth Gonzalez; a son, Elijah C. Gonzalez; his brother Adrian M. Gonzalez; his nephew Alec D. Gonzalez and niece, Sophie Faith Gonzalez; and many other loving family members and friends.
