Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Generation Next Worship Center with Pastor Tommy Fulgham officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday February 24, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mr. Morales was born in Netza, Mexico. He was raised in Mexico City until he came to the United States in 1985. He married Rachel S. Cordova on August 23, 1986. Elias’ dream was to play professional Soccer in Mexico. He trained and played and trained toward that goal until a knee injury ended that. He played with the Amarillo Challengers when it was formed at the Indoor Soccer Arena. He also played for a local outdoor team which he helped win many tournaments for. He loved to watch football, soccer and basketball. He was a dedicated family man. He was a cement finisher since 1991. He was employed by Perry Williams since 2002. Elias is survived by his wife, Rachel; a son, Joshua of Amarillo; four daughters, Luichi, Rochelle, Monique and Sarah all of Amarillo; Nine Grandchildren; Five brothers, Samuel Morales of Amarillo, Raymundo Morales, Francisco Morales, Mauro Morales, Gerardo Morales all of New York; three sisters, Genia Morales of Chicago, IL, Estela Urbano Morales and Mirna Rivas Morales of Mexico City, Mexico and many nieces and nephews.
