Elizabeth Moore, age 91, died December 21, 2012.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. Private family burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Mrs. Moore was born August 16, 1921, in Tiline, Kentucky to Thomas and Bertie Driskill Campbell. She attended Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.
Mrs. Moore married Dr. W. Winfred Moore in Calvert City, Kentucky and they were blessed to have shared 71 years together. In addition to being an avid supporter of her husband’s ministry, Elizabeth learned to read, write and speak Korean fluently and could communicate in several languages. For several decades, she blessed many students with her teaching of ESL classes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. T. L. Campbell; a sister, Loretta Mullins; son-in-law, Jim Preston, June 4, 2012; and grand son-in-law, Jeff Tankersley, June 10, 2012.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. W. Winfred Moore; two daughters, Anne Preston of Amarillo and Maria E. Patterson of Lewisville,; one son, Fred Moore and wife, Cathy of Chicago; sisters in-law, Betty Gass and husband, Jim and Phyllis Riley and husband, Bud; two granddaughters, Amy Tankersley, Mollye Erickson and husband, Jeremy; four grandsons, James Preston and wife, Stacey, Trey Moore and wife, Amanda, Will Patterson and wife, Melanie, and Christian Patterson; six great-grandchildren, Caroline and Beck Tankersley, J. P. and Becca Preston, William Patterson III; Hannah Patterson; and many nieces and nephews.
