Elizabeth Ann “Peggy” Isbell, age 73 of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 3, 2016.
Rosary and vigil will be Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 6:00 PM at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 S. Washington. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Scott Raef as celebrant. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Peggy was born in Tulia, Texas on May 25, 1943 to Mathias and Rosena Albracht. She was a member of the last graduating class of Umbarger High School. She was a hairdresser and tremendous seamstress. Peggy married Robert Isbell on November 15, 1996 at St. Mary’s. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Cathedral Choir for 43 years joining in 1973. She was a charter member of the Columbiettes Auxiliary for Knights of Columbus Council 1450. Peggy was an excellent bowler. She loved to sing, sew, dance and enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers with her husband. Of all her hobbies, her favorite was spending time with family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joe Albracht, Jimmy Albracht and Jackie Albracht.
Peggy is survived by her husband Robert of Amarillo; one daughter, Lesa Stark and husband Jim of Borger; one son, Richard Rosner and wife Kathy of Irving; two sisters, Shirley Skarke Richardson and husband Donny and Mary Cabe and husband Ralph; one brother, Billy Albracht and wife Mary Ruth, all of Amarillo; two sisters-in-law, Julie Albracht and Judy Albracht; four grandchildren – Craig, Brittnee, Trey and Alex and spouses, nine great grandchildren with one on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
