Ella Mae Parsons Sweeney, age 89 of Amarillo died at home on October 23, 2015
A rosary will be said at 6:00PM Tuesday, October 27th Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. A funeral mass will be in the Chapel of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 10:00AM Wednesday, October 28th. A private family inurnment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Ella Mae was born April 29, 1926 to Grady and Vernis Parsons. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1943 and graduated from the Northwest Texas Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. In 1981 she married Joe Sweeney in 1981.
Survived by husband Joe Sweeney, sons Jim Childers and wife Marilyn, Joe Childers and wife Joni; grandchildren: Jennifer Bebernes and husband Mike; Jonathan Childers and wife Lindsay; Jim Blake Childers; Carrrie Castleberry and husband Toby; and three great grandchildren; Sarah, Kell, and Will Castleberry.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Hi-Plains Food Bank PO BOX 31803
