Eloise Catt Pancake, known by her family as "Grammy", died May 12, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Eloise was born and raised in southern Indiana where she met and married her husband of 62 years, Harold Franklin Pancake in 1948. They were married in Mt. Olympus, Indiana. She attended Amarillo College. Her work career culminated in the position of Head of Hematology at High Plains Baptist Hospital where she retired in 1988. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Valle de Oro. She was known in the valley for her Angel Food cakes and by her family for always making their favorite meals which always ended with magnificent pies. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Eloise was a talented painter and enjoyed sharing her paintings with family and friends. Harold and Eloise loved to travel and visited places the world over. Her greatest pleasure was time spent with her family doting on her grands and great grands.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Jenny Catt; her husband, Harold Pancake; sisters, Eugenia Elliott and Irene Hill; and a brother Randall Catt.
Eloise is survived by a daughter, Susie Gonce and her husband Ron of Canyon; son, Dale Pancake and his wife Peggy of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Larry Pancake of Cimarron, NM, Andromache Weaver and husband Jace of Fort Worth, and Landon Gonce and wife Haley of Midland; six great-grandchildren, Shyanne Pancake, Caitlyn Pancake, Bentley Gonce, Eloise Gonce, Jenson Weaver, and Georgia Weaver; and two great great-grandchildren, Kelly Martinez and Wyatt Swearingen.
