Elphia Marie Mock, 81, of Amarillo passed away on November 4, 2019.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 1:00 p.m., please contact family if you would like to attend. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Elphia Marie (Winkler) Mock was born May 17, 1938 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Elphia was the daughter of Raymond and Edith Winkler. She grew up with her sister Devota in Fountain, Colorado.
After high school she met the love of her life, Tommy Mock, they were married in 1956 and celebrated 62 years of marriage together. Elphia managed the books for their siding contracting business in Colorado Springs for many years. She spent most of her days being a wonderful mother and volunteer. Upon retirement, she and Tommy moved to Amarillo, Texas to be closer to their grandchildren. She was an amazing homemaker, cook and baker. Her famous Christmas candy was enjoyed by many.
Elphia is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Mock; parents, Raymond and Edith Winkler; and sister, Devota Green.
She is survived by her two daughters, Glena McPeters and Gala Beals and her husband David; granddaughter Kyla Frye, her husband Braden and their son Talon, grandson, CJ Carpenter, his wife Lindsey and their son Taylor, granddaughter Courtnie Beals; and several nieces and nephews.
