Emily Chancler passed away July 14, 2014, in Amarillo.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Father Jim Schmidtmeyer officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Emily was born July 29, 1925 in Chicago to Anthony and Anna Dankowski. She became a Catholic nun early in her life until she was in her early thirties. It was then she switched to civilian life and moved to New Mexico to work in a hospital as a Laboratory Technician. She later moved to Texas and worked at the old Northwest Texas Hospital for over thirty years. She married Eugene Willard Chancler in the 50’s. Willard brought his boy Jim from a previous marriage with him, and they together had Rose Chancler in 1963.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and one sister, Margaret Lorenzo.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Chancler and husband, Stephen Feinbloom, of Westport, NY; her son, Jim Chancler, of Amarillo; her brother-in-law, Patrick Lorenzo, of Chicago; and three grandchildren, Ruby Feinbloom, Bryan Chancler, and Billy Jim Chancler.
