Emma Louise Hall

Emma "Louise" Hall, 87, of Amarillo, passed peacefully in Abilene, Texas, on September 26, 2023.

The family will receive guests at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, at Bolton St. Baptist Church, 2555 S. Bolton, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Danny Lucas presiding. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas at 3:00 p.m.

Louise was born February 4th, 1936, in Santa Anna, TX to Olan Helms and Margaret Tankersley Helms. Louise moved to Dalhart with her mother at a young age,  where she attended Dalhart Schools.  On October 23rd, 1952, she married Albert E. Hall in Clayton,  New Mexico.  Albert and Louise settled in Amarillo, where they raised their four children.  Louise was a homemaker and was very involved in her children's school activities.  She eventually went to work for Means shoe store as a shoe clerk and then to CR Anthony's as a manager in the shoe department. Louise was a devout Christian most of her life and was a member of Bolton Street Baptist Church.  She loved to crochet and read and traveling to the Valley in the winter.

She is preceded in death by her parents,  her husband Albert in 2021, her daughter Lisa Diane Helton in 2016, and her grandson William Todd McGuire in 1990.

Louise is survived by daughters Beckie Pinckard (Mitchell) of Baird, TX, and Beverly Knox of Amarillo, and son Gary Hall (Laurie) of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Michael McGuire,  Clay McGuire, Brook Graves, Beth Hall, Aaron Helton,  Stephanie Helton and Alicia Parrack and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made in Louise's name to Bolton Street Baptist Church.
