Born in British Guyana in South America on June 20, 1927, daughter of Robert Alleyne and Adelaide Alleyne. Agnes attended Carnegie Junior College, where she graduated as a Home Economics Teacher. She served as a teacher in the Republic of Guyana for ten years. She was selected by the U.S. State Department as one of the Home Economic Teachers from the Caribbean to attend a specialized course in Puerto Rico in her field. In Puerto Rico, she married Edward M. Perry. Agnes joined her husband as a military wife while he was in the Army. They had two tours overseas in Panama and Germany. Military tours in the U.S. took her to New York, New Jersey, Texas and Mississippi. After her husband retired from the military, they traveled to several countries overseas - seeing the world. Agnes gave up her career so her husband could continue his career in the military and to provide a loving home for their three children. Most of all Agnes Perry loved the Lord and her family. She will be missed.
Survived by her husband of 54 years of marriage, Edward Perry, the love of her life. She is survived by her son, Ed Perry, daughters Ellen Burgess and husband Willie and Marie Dyer and husband Frank, and by her sister Evelyn Felix. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren.
