His children remember him as a kind, loving, religious, and dependable father who always believed in them and encouraged them to follow their dreams.
Steve was passionate about sports, and anyone who knew him can attest to his ability in football, golf, softball, bowling and especially dancing. He was a generous man who was more than willing to give the shirt off his back. Steve was an active and devout member of the Catholic Church. A dedicated part of the community, Steve was a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and volunteered for the Eveline Rivers toy drive. To this date, Steve is still a member of the last undefeated, undisputed Dalhart Football District Champions. Go Wolves!
