Floyd Malena, 64, of Amarillo passed in peace November 17, 2021.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 22, 2021, at Encounter Church, 200 Tascosa Rd. Interment will follow in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Floyd was born September 2, 1957, in Dimmitt, Texas to Les and Marilyn Malena. He attended Palo Duro High School and was member of Encounter Church. He married the love of his life Peggy Sue Fagan on July 18, 1980, in Amarillo, Texas. Floyd was a very successful self-employed automotive core buyer and ever damn thang! He could sell ANYTHING, even Ice to an eskimo.
He loved spending time with family, especially his favorite grandson, wining jackpots at the casino, watching Walker, Texas Ranger, Gunsmoke, and football. The Dallas Cowboys were his favorite team even when he didn’t want to admit it. He loved listening to old music and hanging out with his boys Bubba and Kevin. He was proud of his great grandbabies who called him “Another Papa”. He had a special bond with his favorite grandson Riley, who he would do anything for. We will miss hearing the stories he loved to always share.
He is preceded in death by his father, Les Malena; and brothers, Robert and Rick Malena; father-in-law Archie Fagan; bother in laws, Roy and Donnie Fagan and sister-in-law, Sandra Fagan Dierlam.
Floyd left behind his lovely wife of 41 years, Peggy Malena; sons, Bubba Malena and wife Joni and Kevin Malena; sister, Sue Moody and husband; brothers, Ray Malena and wife, Kathy and David Malena; Mother, Marilyn Malena; Mother-in-law, Florence Fagan; sister-in-law, Carolyn Fagan Brimer; bother-in-laws, Terry Fagan and Lawrence Dierlam; grandchildren, Riley, Brooke, and RJ; and 2 great-grandbabies, Westlynn and Oaklen.
He will be greatly missed.
Until we meet again…..
Those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only we could have you back for a little while. Then we could sit and talk like we used to. You meant so very much and always will. The fact that you're no longer here will always cause us pain but you're forever in our hearts until we meet again.
