Foy Alletress Lane, 98, of Turkey, Texas, passed away with grace and peace on February 3, 2010.  Mama Foy was born on November 4, 1911, to Matt Browning and Ada Parsons Browning, in Lenna, Oklahoma.  She married John Lane of Turkey, Texas, on October 17, 1932, in Hall County.  Mama Foy had a love for family and a desire to have her loved ones close.  She loved to cook big meals and have her whole family over to her house to enjoy time together.  She loved music including western and good old Church of Christ Hymns.  She was a very musical lady.  She played the piano and guitar by "ear" and could sit down at the piano and play almost any hymn from church that Sunday.  Mama Foy enjoyed taking care of others.  She loved sports and did not miss many Cowboys games on TV.  She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life according to His word.  She comforted those who needed it, loved those who wanted it, fed those who were hungry, hugged those who could use a hug, and laughed with those who were laughing.  She loved to tell jokes and she had a wonderful sense of humor.  She even loved to laugh at herself.  She had a spirit that is second to none and a heart of gold.  For those that have known her well, know that "things" (being material things) meant very little to Mama Foy.  She did not need a fancy car, or a big house, or big diamond rings, or even fancy clothes, all she wanted was to have her family close, safe and happy.  Even in the end of her life, all she requested was that her family be happy and safe.  We honor her every day by smiling, telling a joke, hugging our loved ones, and cherishing the moments we have with our family and friends.   She is preceded in death by her husband, John Lane in 1983; her son, Bobby Lane in 1998; her daughter, Nita Puckett in 2000; and her granddaughter, Kelly Puckett in 1985.Survivors include her daughter, Gayle Rhoades and husband, Jack Rhoades of Canyon, Texas; her daughter -in-law, Wanda (Boo Boo) Lane of Lockney, Texas; her 8 grandchildren, 16 great - grandchildren and 2 great-  great - grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews and countless friends.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter, Suite 404, Amarillo, TX  79106.
