Frances was born in Cleburne, Texas on December 24, 1923 and graduated from Cleburne High School in 1942. She married Andrew Julius Forrester on August 2, 1942 in Cleburne. They moved to Amarillo in 1946 where they lived and raised their family.
Frances, along with her family, served in various capacities as Sunday School teacher and Director of the primary ages at Grace Baptist Church, and later at Faith Baptist Church, where she again taught Sunday School and Awanas. She taught 3rd grade at West Texas Christian Academy. She is currently a member of Southlawn Baptist Church and Adult 2 Couples Sunday School class.
She worked alongside her husband for over 25 years at the Amarillo Police Department Coffee Shop, where she became famous for her wonderful cooking and delicious desserts, especially the Yummy Burger.
She was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren, who were her delight. Frances and Andy were friends to many and opened their home with gracious hospitality to all. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her Lord and her beloved family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Andrew; two sons, James and Albert; one sister, Ruby Marie Morgan, and two brothers, Henry Shaw and James Lee (Jay) Shaw.
She is survived by four sons, Allen Forrester of Cleburne, Don Forrester, Perry Forrester and Steve Forrester, all of Fredricksburg, VA; one sister, Josephine DiClemente of Maitland, FL; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
